mine is a t/t car, had a few panels repsrayed but most of it is original, ES model and comes up as a 92MY car in the Volvo system.

Also worth while to look at the earth strap on the gear box, used to give problems back in the day, think its a 16mm on the end of the box, just slacken off and give it a good nip up!

try looking at crank sensor, check with a AC volt meter, disconeect it and chack the voltage when spinning over, you should get a slight A?C voltage as the flywheel spins past the sensor when cranking. See if you have a spark fron the coil before the dist cap, if you have it could be a faulty rotor ...

Cool, what are you guys basing the brace from, or can a brace be had for a 480??? anything else similar that can be modified???

Thanks Moslo, where you located? there are a few hard core 480 nutters about, got to know a fewe from them coming in to get parts etc, and some from the trade, im hoping to get the car back on the road soon, but dont like having it out till its all sorted, need a front spoiler, not the easiest thing...
