I can still honk if I have to, lady
I only disconneted the wires that go to the centrallocking unit in the door. This seems to stop activating the alarm too
So no need to reconnect, cause this is not a MOT issue

Go to 'Tuning & Tweaking', the first thread on top of page
It handles about collecting ECUs of members to be done, prior to send it to Rpruen
However, you have to be patient, RPruen doesn't have much time these days

Disabling alarm

How and where can I disable the alarm?
Seems I have a short circuit somewhere, causing the alarm going off at random
It's annoying to dis/re-connect the battery everytime I drive and park

Note, it's a pre'91 car, dunno if that makes any difference

How to remove plastic trim?

How can I remove the long plastic trim on the door surrounding the keyhole?
From the inside I found 1 screw above the lock unit, but that bloody thing still won't come off at the top

I'm afraid these special wires aren't standard
I bought it on the internet from someone who offered this
Maybe you could fabricate such by getting the feed from the original connectors at the taillight unit.
It's a matter of 2 wires to each side

The additional wire has a 'two-way' connector, with wires + bulbholders for both sides coming out of it In the boot, leftside behind the plastic interior cover, you will find a black box next to the antenna, that is the light computer It's quite simpel, disconnect the original connector off the comp...

That's all true. If the car wasn't ment for the US market, the pop-ups also weren't there. The longrange lamp would have been used as mainbeam lights instead. They (designers) kept it there, so one is still able to use it as warning light to flash during daylight, when pop-ups are usualy down. I bou...

I do remember that prior to the launch of the 480 ES, a friend of a friend who worked with the dutch 'Nationale Investerings Bank', showed me a folder containing a couple of unofficial 480 pics The folder was meant for insiders only, I wasn't allowed to keep it :( The pics showed a black 480, but I ...

These 'time laps' thing reminds me very much to a trilogie of Philip Glass back in 1982 http://www.philipglass.com/music/films/koyaanisqatsi.php Brian Eno did a similar thing too He recorded on VHS a skyscraper in NY with the cam twisted 90 degree to capture the building in its fullest length Funny ...

This may be true for the older model clamp
The newer ones got this extra tension, which made of 2 parts
You can clearly see in the pic here http://www.album.ee/files/75/049/orig/16475049_ieQL.jpg
that one is more extended than the other

Infact the first ES was meant for the US market Proof of that are the ugly pop-ups, which were redesigned to meet US regulations In my opinion, ugly because when raised, they disturb the complete fine wedge lines and curves Moreover, the first ES with engine was tested in the US How it went, you can...
