Re: My secret life with a 480
Hello. Well, I sold it. :) The answer for the why is simple: it was ready. I realized, that I built something, I afraid to use. Driving it was more than stress, not joy. And cars like this were built for fun. So, I let her go, and now I am looking for a new project. But one lesson learned: No comple...

Re: Turbo problem
Well, the examination has done!
My turbo is fine! The axle doesnt move much, there is no heavy wear, or any sign of damage.
The strange noise is a leak somewhere in the tubes, which I have to sort out.

Re: My secret life with a 480
Maybe I wrote earlier that I took my spare injectors for ultrasonic cleaning. Yesterday I finally managed to change them. Well, the stutter at idle and after heavy acceleration are disappeared, the engine runs very, very smooth, I love it! So, when I said I am sure that some of my injectors are dyin...

Re: question for the experts
We have been thinking about this also, but in fact, change the engine to a B18FT with richmod, is much easier (and cheaper) job, and with bigger turbo, injectors, computer, etc. you can get quite big power from it. I did the same, at the moment I am running the engine with full stock parts, richmod ...

Re: 2L L reg low milage - Noisy Engine at 50mph good at 70mp
So, you sure it comes from the engine? Is it possible that the steering wheel resonates? (if yes, then its not the engine. you might hit one of your front wheels, or tyre is damaged, etc.) Anyways, the engine could "resonate" because the engine mounts, for instance.

Re: My secret life with a 480
I had very busy months, but finally from now on I will have some time to do some things on the car.. I still did not fix the injectors, but at least I know now, that is the source of the problem. Besides this (and my fears of the turbo) everything is just fine with the engine. There aer some annoyin...
