Re: Erratic idle, stalling (Have read old topics :) )
No, I haven't, i have no option of borrowing one. Well, I haven't checked the injectors, but again, those got some service when I got the engine running (they were stuck at the moment) and were flawless. Pressure is fine, have checked it, I run new 5bar inline pump. That LED is kind of a mystery. Af...

Re: Erratic idle, stalling (Have read old topics :) )
Ok, another thing i've now put on the list to take a look at next time. Thanks for the tip, haven't tried that. I now know how to test knock sensor, so that one will get some attention as well. What do you think, is it possible to wire up that obd box even if it wasn't equipped with engine diagnosis...

Erratic idle, stalling (Have read old topics :) )

There are no physical modifications to the engine, I used whole of original loom and the loom for dashboard with Volvo's dashboard. I just binned ...

Is car available?
If yes, ambient temperature sensor is the thing I need right now.
Please PM me.

Re: Filling gear box oil? Need a bit of help
I would do the same, drain all.
And then fill it from the top, with help of a longer tube that fits into the hole in the gearbox and on the other end out from the engine bay.
When it's time to improvise I do just that

Fuel level
Hello!
Can someone please take measurements of resistance for fuel gauge when tank is empty and again full.
I need this info to make Info center operational on another car.
Or if someone know where to get info.
Thank you very much!!!

Re: Testing Electronic Speedo
I've tested it with drilling machine and additional speed sensor.
It works in car also. Still odometer doesn't, but have found some info on capacitors on odometer board that malfuncion and will test it, when I'll have time.
It seems that it's a well known problem.

Re: Testing Electronic Speedo
Ok, got the bench test thingy to work, at least on one speedo and no matter how long I run the machine, there is no movement on the odometer. The speed needle is dancing around and is apparently working.
Stepper motor simply doesn't do anything. How to test it without killing anything?
Any ideas?

Re: OBD box
Thanks for the links, I have tons of schemes, but all are without diagnostic box connections. It took me at least 4H of reading through everything i have, joyful :hopping: Well, it has been running, just for 5 minutes or so, has been very lumpy but that was the first time the engine was started afte...

Hello! I got a lot of useful info on this site, so decided to use it again, because I am a bit lost right now. I own a B18FT engine, fitted into a renewed R5, now in the middle of resoldering all the wires to fit a smaller car. I plan to use all the Volvo stuff, with electronic speedo. Engine came f...
