just checked mine (a 1.7 es) and my brothers (a 2ltr gt) and mine has one but his doesn't.
so dunno sorry

Mine is a 1990 es 1.7 and it only locks from drivers side. maybe newer models lock from both doors?

is that the switch in the keylock lock? if so i have replaced it. lol

no sorry still had no luck. am gonna look at changing the wiring in the doors when i get some better weather.

take the idle control valve off, put a drop of petrol inside and leave it overnight. check flywheel sensor is clean. make sure there are no leaks on any of the vacum pipes.

mine is still running ace since i cleaned that little brass valve.

check contacts on your front sidelights 20w/5w. sounds like a bad contact on the 20w side of the bulb
