hiya, sorry havent posted for a long time,
ive tried a new earth cable no difference, and ive tried the idle air control valve on a different car and it works fine, forgot to to check the fuel filter tho

seems to have done, so am happy now lol

i werent sure if it would be the idle air control valve as it does only do it when its warmed up a bit, but i will clean it and see if it makes any difference.

my car is an L reg 1994, ive checked the distrubiter cap, rotor arm, ht leads, spark plugs
i havent checked the idle control valve tho,

also ive noticed when it is barely idling if u try and rev it, it just dies straight away

hiya, ive got a 480 2.0l, it dosent always start and when it does it barely idles for a short amount of time before it dies, ive onliy tired unpluggling a few sensors to see if it made any difference but none of them do.
also you cant rev the engine when its barley running.
any ideas?? thanks

hiya, i no its a bit late but i did sort it, it was an ecu fault

yeh the ecus are from the same 440, this wire is fine, and is connected to my rev counter.

wondering if its an ecu fault now. hope not tho coz i no they expensive
