1994 480 ES FOR SALE [IRELAND]

1994 Volvo 480 ES 2.0, 83000 miles, steel grey metallic. This was my daily driver for about 4 years until September last year when the NCT (MOT) and tax ran out and i took it off the road with the intention of doing some repair work to the rear arches (rust problems). Unfortunately with increased wo...

Re: Crazy Dancing Pop-ups

Thanks GJ, got a few mins today so replaced both DLRs (had to manually raise pop-ups). No change to pop-ups, driver side still going up and down constantly when lights switched on. Tried to bridge the relay but all i manged to do was blow the fuse. As i am not much of a mechanic and even less of an ...

Crazy Dancing Pop-ups

I'm sure many of you have had this happen before, but here's my experience: Christmas morning, driving home, -15deg. Lights on dipped, driver side pop up starts 'winking' up and down. Turned lights off, about an hour later (still driving) both pop ups start 'dancing' up and down (lights are switched...

How cold can you go?

ok i know mainland europe gets temperatures like this every year... but on the way in to work this morning the temp dropped to -13 in rural carlow which is the lowest i've seen in Ireland. http://i450.photobucket.com/albums/qq221/mmoslo/moto_0136.jpg Apparently '82 was the last time we had a freeze ...

Wanted tailgate parts

The triangular plastic cap of my rear washer nozzle has disappeared - some deviant may have snapped it off. So now i am spraying straight out behind me like a pissing cow (or should that be moose?!) Anyone got a spare one of these lying around? Also i think the time has come to replace my tailgate s...

I've just sold my Celeb for 550 euro...I thought that was a good price! Unfortunately I can no longer justify owning a 2litre engined car (in Ireland this is 614 euro a year to tax!) with an excessive thirst while still on a student budget. It breaks my heart to sell it because I really wanted to k...

that's the same date as my retest. just picked up h/brake cable from volvo, €28 inc vat. well, i think you have nothing to lose (ok apart from €50 fee) - either you have a car with an expired NCT or you have a car with a failed NCT and a list of what needs done so you know where you stan...
