You will be able to make it fit, only small constructual problem is the cooling channel on one side. A big problem as follows: The standard volvo head is a flat head, means no combustion chamber in the head but in the pistons. The renault 16v head has the combustion chamber in the head, and flat top...

I think you need Clio type mounts, for the 1.8 16v engine, look onhttp://www.k-tecracing.com/, maybe they have the stuff you need.

I think it won't do any better with a high lift cam, they only work good on a naturally aspirated engine.

Good luck!

aah, forgot something, the gap in the teeth is not lined up with the VR-sensor with piston no 1 in TDC position, I believe the gap is about 14-15 teeth before the sensor.

The flywheel can only be positioned in one way, due to bolt array in the flywheel/crank. There are 5 bolts, not equally devided over 360 degrees so there can't be any mistake there. Are you sure you have the right type of flywheel for your computer orange/blue etc ECU?

Sorry for the late reply guys, was kind of busy with other things but on this beautifull sunday morning going to work on my project again!

Remove the R57 resistor quickly! This is causing problems with the vb921, like the manual says in step 65

Will give some update shortly!

You can use this ignition map: http://members.home.nl/klusbedrijfwildejong/ign_adv_B18FT_MSIIExtra.bmp I'm running this map and didn't experience any knock up to 1,2 bar (17,4 psi) Maybe you can get some more power when you fine tune this map, but I doubt very much as it is doing at least as much po...

I forgot about this, I will probably do it. It should be fine for doing comparisions on different modifications. At the moment I'm only running 4psi of boost, but I should see some difference after I change the cam shaft (either good or bad!). You probably will see a good result, because of the low...

Engine set-up: - stock engine pistons, crank, crankshaft, head, valves, camshaft etc - stock turbo - stock injectors - stock fuel pres...

MSII can calibrate the sensors based on three resistance values at different temperatures, so you don't need to change the bias resistors. I didn't change this resistor, I used Megatune to calibrate them, based on resistor values I meassured myself. When I use the values from the first post, I get 1...

I never tried changing the falling edge/ rising edge input capture, but I can try but don't know the difference anymore, I need to read that part of the manual again also. I don't know if the autotune option has dissapeared in the extracode, what does the autotune option do? Something else, the ther...

I did a lot of calculations and research to find a nearly perfect turbo for the B18FT engine, but haven't found any used/cheap. I think the Garrett GT2259 or GT2252 will do almost perfect up to 2bar of boost! Check the site of Garrett to see the compressor maps if you know how to read them. I think ...

Did you check your MAF sensor? If this unit is faulty the LH2.2 gets wrong signal of actual air flow and will then wrong amount of fuel will be injected. Mine is has a Rica chip, and is doing 11.5-12 under full load over the entire RPM range. I've got a Innovate Autosports LC-1 installed to set up m...

Just did some full load runs, some misfires under full load so had to extend dwell time but performance is now very close to the Rica chip, maybe even better. I'll do some fine tunig next weeks and get it on a dyno with each ECU's (Rica Chip and MSII) to compare.

Input trigger wiring is directly from the stock VR sensor to vr-input. Direct coil control from pin 36, removed the stock coil controller from the coil.

I''ll post the ignition set up shortly.

Why do you think the posted ignition map won't do a lot of power?
