Celebration No:398 For sale £1895
1995 Volvo 480 Celebration 398/480 Mileage 63000 M.O.T, Exp AUG 2022 I have reluctantly decided to sell my beloved Volvo 480 after 14 years of ownership. This hasn’t been an easy decision by any means but I simply don’t have the time to give the car the time and attention it deserves as my life has...

Re: Loss of Power when engine is hot... fine when Cold
I didn't fix them JohnO I still have the fuelling issue, IT comes and goes but it is getting worse all I'm doing basically is waiting for whatever it is to finally give up It can drive fine for miles then come back to it and it runs like Sh*te... Although the other day it wouldn't accelerate at all ...

Re: Front Shocks, Springs, Ride Height etc
Many thanks for your reply Arthuy the tyres are 185/55/15 I am not too sure how bad it is to be honest, all I can say is that it is very light on the front end, the steering doesn't seem to want to return as it should and it's absolutely lethal in the wet weather. I did take it to an ATS Euromaster ...

Re: Front Shocks, Springs, Ride Height etc
Evening all I am no further forward with this issue. I have been at a friends garage most of the day today and the only thing we can think of is that the spring and or Shocks are faulty on the front. So I am potentially looking at purchasing a set of Springs/Shockers AGAIN  :( I might go down...

Re: Front Shocks, Springs, Ride Height etc
No, They were KYB ones in the green boxes although having said that KYB's catalogue lists them as for being for a 440, 460, 480, Ref RC1633
Did you look at the pictures of the ride height i put on flickr I think it looks fine as it sits on my drive

Front Shocks, Springs, Ride Height etc
Hello all, I've recently replaced almost all my front suspension components Shocks, Springs, Wishbones, Track rod ends, Drop links etc. The trouble is since I've done all this the handling has become absolutely awful. I was expecting the front to sit a-bit high until the springs had bedded in (so to...

Re: Rear Torque rods
Volvo never sold the bush separately. Complete torque rods are the only way. And yes, skandix / Poland are the main sources.... How desperate are you for them? I'm not that desperate at the moment although it is the only parts I'm missing now, I've got everything for the rear of the car suspension ...

Re: Help save my celebration...
Further to my last update a few hours ago i can confirm that with a rather crude Magnet (Wire coat hanger and two small strong magnets taped on) i have very luckily managed to retrieve all 28 roller pins successfully from my gearbox, AND put the end of the driveshaft back together.... So new rubber ...

Re: Loss of Power when engine is hot... fine when Cold
Hello James, Apologies for the extremely late reply I've not stopped this last month or so..... :? Unfortunately I haven't yet got to the bottom of it, the next thing I was going to look into was the fuel pressure regulator. If that turns out to be ok I'm not sure where to go after that ?? It would ...

Re: Fuel pressure regulator
It doesn't look the same James mine doesn't have any holes for fixing bolts, just a straight "in" and "out" it's not attached to anything other than those for the inlet/outlet.
