Is the software specific to your camera or will it operate any digital cameras? Can I ask where you got it from as I'd like to have a go at it too?

Aux Lamp Alignment

On my way home from Guildford on Saturday night I thought I would try out my aux driving lamps (not really used them before). They appear to be badly aligned and I have no idea how to realign them or where they should be pointing.

Can anyone shed some light on this please? :D

They are quoting 4 hours work and £80 parts, with VAT brings it to £340. Working backwards, that must be about £50 an hour. I told them to do it as I decided I do love my 480 and don't want to let her go. The expense is possibly my own fault for using an expensive garage I guess. I know the...

The garage have confirmed that the cambelt tensioners are sticking and have damaged the cambelt itself

£340 for a new kit, fitted. I have until 4.30 to say yay or nay.

The 480 might be going...

....I may have lost the love for my 480. I can cope with plastic trim falling off and the infocentre being tempremental, but after spending £350 on new engine mounts and then finding my cambelt tensioners need replacing, I am seriously out of love with the 480 at the moment. On a practical note, ...

Thanks Ben.

The car is not being used until it goes into the garage on Thursday so it should be ok I hope.

Cheers. I have it booked into a very good local garage I know (I bought the car from them too) on Thursday. Photos of the component would be excellent as I can show them it and it may speed up the diagnosis - I will PM you with my email address.

Many thanks

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know if it requires removing the cambelt (and therefore be expensive) to get at it or not, as my cambelt was done 12k miles ago and I don't really have the funds to replace it again so soon?

Cheers

Mystery Squeal

I have taken a stab at the correct topic for this, please feel free to move it (mods) if I got it wrong. Having had my engine mounts replaced last week I now have a new problem which may or may not be related. The car in question is my 1995 2.0 Auto ES. When cold, something under the bonnet is squea...

Well they lifted the engine and took the rear mount off and replaced it only to find that the front mount was mullered as well (it is very bad, I have pieces of it on my desk).

The rear mount was £105 and the front one £95 :-(

Engine Mount

My rear engine mount has completely failed; the engine rotates a hell of a lot when the car is put in and out of gear (its an auto). Makes a very loud clunk in reverse too :( It is booked in to the garage I bought the car from (they seemed unhappy that a car they supplied less than 6 months ago had ...

Servicing

I am annoyed with myself this morning. I knew my car was due for a service fairly soon as I could remember the last one being done at 70something miles (the car is now on 86,600). It turns out it was serviced a 79,248 which is fine. Trouble is, that was done in 2005! It appears my car hasn't been se...

Strange revving

I have a 2.0 Auto which recently has been acting a bit strange. If I get up to say 30 mph and back off the throttle, the revs normally fall right off and settle at about 12-1300rpm as the car slows. Recently though, the engine has let the revs drop to circa 1400 rpm and then appears to blip the thro...

Well, it has been ages since I posted, mainly due to my work laptop being rebuilt and the 'new' version not getting on with this site too well. Since I last posted a fair few things have happened with the 480, not many of which are good. 1. I got in the car one day and went to grab the seatbelt and ...

I have cured the problem - it appears that the link you posted works fine on my PC and remembers my login details etc.

I was using a different link from northernscum.somethingorother which may have been the issue.

Cheers
