Finally found a 2 din unit that fits with the minimum of fuss and mods.
Looks cool and works well, GPS DVD Bluetooth.

Hectic day moving house but finally got 5 mins to look at the problem.
There are 2 belts if you have air con and it's the smaller one which drives the alternator.
The number on it is 2 022
If anyone can shed any light it would be much appreciated.

Guys I need a quick answer on this if possible. Just trying to move house and on the first small run the bloody drive belt snapped :badmood: Mine has the (working) A.C and I need some codes for compatible drive belts as no one seems to stock one for the 480 or if I know the length I can measure one....

Just give me the word and we will see what we can work out.

Does anyone have (at a sensible price) a tow bar for the 480 ? or do you know if you can make one fit from another car ??

The only 480 regular use driver for 50 miles

Are there any active members in the West Midlands/Shropshire area ?
So many people just use this place as a free sales pitch for their cars
Would be nice to know I'm not the only one

The problem with trying to adjust it by stripping the unit down and moving the digits on is that they never align themselves properly but you can remove the motor and ease them apart to cycle them forwards only. please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

332 running very well indeed.
Trying slowly to restore it to full original condition, just need a couple of small items now and it will be finished.
In daily use though.

I have to disagree on the sunroof . lived in France for years and ran a 480es and to be honest all the sunroof does is act as a greenhouse and no amount of open windows or roofs would cool the inside down. ok so we're in blighty now but on those rare summer days, sitting in a traffic jam, air con is...

I guess it all boils down to how many different models we have either owned or driven. Personally I rate my Celeb above the others I've owned
