Re: Exhaust needed for 1992 K Reg.

So the centre section is £50.00 and the rear part if £77 plus £40 for fitting, that's going to be £167.00, maybe a bit more if there's VAT on the labour. Halfords have quoted me £201 for getting the whole lot done including warranties for the parts and labour; it's only another £34 so I may as well ...

Re: Exhaust needed for 1992 K Reg.

Hey Gltease,

Thanks for the update, is this a company you've used before? Does that item represent the middle and back section for my model?

Sorry, I'm pretty clueless about these things!

Cheers

Exhaust needed for 1992 K Reg.

Hi Folks, Just found out that I need the middle and back section for my car, it's blowing pretty badly. The garage have quoted me £400 for the parts because they'll need to be custom made. Does anyone have any sensible suggestions for where I can get a decent quality exhaust? Cheers and many thanks!...

Which dealer? Sorry, I've never bought new parts before, except from Halfords.

A website or company name would be absolutely awesome!

Wing mirror plastic cowling.

Hey all, For some reason the plastic cowlings around my two wing mirrors have decided to fall apart and I need to replace. My car is a 1992 special edition with green top and grey bottom and the wing mirrors cowlings are colour coded to the green colour. Does anyone know where I might be able to get...

Re: Advice on repair for rear parking break cable and pads.

Ok, the things I need and was quoted:

Offside rear caliper : Aprox £180
Offside rear handbrake cable : Aprox £130
Rear Pads Aprrox £80.

All these prices include fitting and VAT.

Does this seem reasonable?

Advice on repair for rear parking break cable and pads.

Mot failed on Offside Rear Parking brake recording little or no effort. [3.7.A.7A]. Garage is saying that the Pads are breaking up as well so they need to be replaced. He said there was a problem associated with the fulcrum. His suggested ball park figure for repairs was about £186 plus £50 if the...

But with just ignition turned on , no blowers, only sidelights, it's drained the battery from over 12 Volts down to 11 in less then 1 minute which apparently is not good. Does anyone have any recommendations for good b...
