480GT for sale

Guys sadly it is time for me to move on to a larger car and so my Volvo 480GT needs to go. It has been a great car for me and very reliable and the engine and gearbox are excellent, but without some welding etc it will not get through the MOT. Re: My new life with a youngtimer

Dear Chris
So sorry to hear about your MOT failure...what a bummer. Crazy that you are not allowed to salvage parts before scrapping a vehical. :badmood: That does not make enviromental sense to me. Hope you can find a solution.

Good luck

Re: Opening up a 480 door mirror

Taking the door trim off is the only and easiest way to remove the door mirror. You cannot realistically open a door mirror and re-assemble it later. They are designed in such a way it is impossible without causing damage to nasty little plastic notches that break off during the process. Read all a...

Opening up a 480 door mirror

My existing damaged door mirror works fine except that the plastic farings and the actual mirror need to be replaced, but I cannot at the moment see how to remove them from the replacement ...

Jim many thanks for your assistance. The part that protrudes from the bodywork seems to be fine but the black triangle is missing.

Re: My new life with a youngtimer

Dear Chris

A very happy New year to you and all members. I suspect that the problem with the indicators is most likely to be at the connection to the indicators rather than the relay as the relay is working OK on the indicators on the other side.

Mint Celebration wanted in the UK

I'm coming to the end of my second 480 having enjoyed them for over twenty years. Now I'm looking for a low mileage Celebration in mint condition in dark grey if possible. I'm prepared to pay a very good price for the right one. :D

Many thanks
