Re: Removing front body panel

Thank you so much for posting those pictures. Any tips on removing the plastic protector? The idea of doing this repair in winter is not very appealing <G>

Mice getting into inside of car !

I am suffering from mice getting into the driving compartment of the car. I now have to keep a couple of bated mouse traps in the car to protect the interior. I have had it up on a ramp and cannot spot any access point so has anyone had the same problem and found a cure please?

Removing front body panel

I've damaged my front off-side body panel.....that's the one that runs from the door over the wheel arch to the bumper. I think the easiest way of doing the repair well apart from replacing it would be to remove it. Can anyone please advise me on how to go about this. I can see that there are screws...

When I had the HT lead disconnected from the distributor I had it plugged into a spark plug. Fingers crossed that the postman will bring the new part in tomorrow morning and that it does the business. It's a seven mile walk into town!

I've checked the resistances on the coil and they read badly so I've got a replacement coming in the morning hopefully.

Poor spark ?

Guys I have been trying to work out why my GT is so lack luster in engine power. It feels like the spark plugs are shot as the engine has very little power when under any sort of load. It is terrible when cold but improves when up to temperature. What I have replaced: Plugs, all HT leads, air filter...

It must have the wires attached if not the wires have come away from the sensor. Should be an easy check since as you can see from the first photo the wires connected to the sensor are very short so you should be looking for an unconnected wire with a connector which has a 2 to 3 inch black sheathi...

stand at side of car look under distributor cap then under the large hose (thermostat housing) and underneath that just above the gearbox housing is the crank position sensor. Dear Jim and Steve Many thanks for your help. Its raining cats and dogs outside so I will not venture out to see if I can fi...

Thanks for that. The only thing I could see there when I was trying to find it the other day was a small black plastic device without any leads that was plugged into the area to the left of the distributor and underneath it when facing the distributor from that side of the car. Obviously it is not t...

Thanks Ted. I had ruled out an injector problem because the LPG system uses one supply port in the inlet manifold for all cylinders.

Misfire on one cylinder GT

I am trying to work out why one cylinder appears to be subject to a bad misfire when cold which shows up also under load when up to running temperature. I've replaced the plugs, the HT leads and had the compressions checked and all well there. The distributor cap and rotor arm were replaced about 12...
