Daft question but is it definitely coming in through your tail lights?
Other place it can get in are side orange reflectors and boot lid seal, especially at the top where the wiring crosses it to get to the stop lamp and wiper.

I'm leaning towards a faulty CV joint at the moment. Is there an easy way to check if they're in their way out?

Hi Jay-Kay-Em. .
I have already replaced it but if I remember rightly it was clearly one which had been returned to stock so may have had an issue from new. I'll have another look at it

Re: Rotary headlight switch illumination
Yes it's seated ok. I tested the wires and no power to them. I'll just have to trace the wire back to where it's broken if it's not fused.

Rotary headlight switch illumination
The night lighting for the rotary headlight switch isn't working. I thought that the bulb had gone so when I pulled the dash today I replaced it. It seems I'm not getting power to this little bulb. Is it fused somewhere? Is there a connection other than the bulb holder which may have come loose? TIA...

Vibration
I have had the dashboard out today to try to stop some annoying rattles. I've managed to stop all but 1, the worst one unfortunately. When I pull away I can feel a slight vibration and I get a vibration noise, it stops when I get over 10mph, and only happens when I'm pulling away. Sometimes I think ...

Re: A happy new 480 owner with a lot of questions
There's a couple of cars being broken at the moment, I'm sure they'll have wiper arms and spindles. Alternatively you could try some loctite, or as a more robust fix and one you can remove if needed, you could drill and tap a hole in the wiper arm so you can insert a bolt or grub screw to grip the s...

Re: A happy new 480 owner with a lot of questions
In relation to the windscreen wipers. There is a mechanical linkage between the 2 wipers so this problem is unlikely to be electrical. My thought would be that the wiper has come loose on its spindle, or the splines on the spindle have worn down and are no longer gripping the wiper arm. Rear wiper. ...

Have you tried adjusting the cover to make it sit flush. If you loosen the 4 Allen screws which hold it in place, I've found a good 5 to 10mm adjustment.

Great British Car Journey
Hello, I went to a Nordik rides event at TMS Volvo dealers in Hinckley today. Was really good. The organiser Kam, invited me to an event at the Great British Car Journey on 27th April. He'd like to see a good few 480's there. Anyone fancy it? There will be loads of Volvos and Saab's there. https://i...
