Re: Left window motor and assembly

Extremely common issue, affects both my windows, have you tried replacing the wire or rewrapping it?

I bought the seals from Keith Cooper, can't you get any from him?

Nevermind, just read that the seals you have are already new

Re: Wanted: seat belt holder, window regulators, temperature sensor (water) and rear tail lights

I have the fan switch and the indicator stalk. NB They’re both from an early 480 (‘87 ES) so the switch is for heating only, with the ‘off’ position. Switch is available now but you’ll have to let me know if you want the indicator stalk, it may be a couple of days before I can remove it. Ah I see t...

Re: I am considering buying a C30/V40

I'm driving an S40 1.6 d at the moment, very similar to the C30 I believe not sure about the wheelbase though. Good car but nowhere near as exciting at my 480

Is there a single B20F engine in this country? I've been looking online for months with no luck :wall:

Re: alternative engines?

So the 460s B20F is identical to the 480s?

Will this fit in my '94 GT?

Re: Scrap or save? (Sell??)

I was expecting a failure because the fan broke but I was surprised by the rust because it had passed fine the year before and drove fine before the MOT!

PS the odometer is broken, mileage unknown

Re: Scrap or save? (Sell??)

Rear arches, inner and outer (inner mainly). Runs fine, emissions high, fan not working. Suspected head gasket (could be worse)

Scrap or save? (Sell??)

My 480 GT is a bit more problematic that I thought, it will need welding and perhaps even a new engine. I do want to keep the car but it's getting a bit too much... Thoughts and advice? :?

The wiper blades are nothing special, put your reg into a site like Halfords or euro car parts.

Re: The joys of 480 ownership

Doesn’t read that bad to me; pretty much standard fail items. Rear brakes (just service them) Rear inner sills (they all go there) did it actually overheat? Or did they find the rot, knew it’d fail so invented a reason for not testing? To me, it’s not a “thorough” garage, more one that hates older ...
