Re: Megasquirt B18FT

Has anyone studied what kind of signal the standard ECU sends to the infocenter unit? edit: Been looking into this and seems like easiest way to make it happen, is to le...

WhiteWolf: Did you get yours? Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I'm after the very same part!

Please PM me or send an email to ahti.peura (ät) gmail.com

I'd need it shipped to Finland.

Thanks :) PM'd you about this already, but these are very rare.

This project is still ongoing, the B18E had to go and FT is coming along nicely... With a bigger turbo, Vader heritage... :D

Yes, this is one of the original Volvo bodykits. Volvo didn't manufacture too many of them. The kit also includes small wheel arches but I didn't install them.

Re: Wanted: Bunch of Turbo parts

Anyone wouldn't happen to have a complete wiring loom from two ecu's to engine? I've got the orange ecus. My wiring loom is... Well, pretty much a lost cause.

Wanted: Bunch of Turbo parts - *no longer needed*

Hi

Turbo conversion (87 ES to 89 Turbo) closing in. Now I need these parts (more to come later I think):

-Larger radiator
-all water hoses in decent condition
-all air hoses for turbo

Tell me what you can offer, I'll need them posted to Finland.

edit: got the parts for now...

Re: Bonnet seal rattling

Actually Captain Slow got it right. It wasn't the seal after all, it just changed the airflow that the trim stopped rattling. I noticed I was missing several of the trim fasteners. So Jim, you got those? ;)

The thick one that goes across the engine bay. The one that is closer to the windshield.

Bonnet seal rattling

I've got problem with rattling noise in speeds over 110kmh. I noticed that the seal between the engine bay and bonnet makes the noise as air rushes to the bonnet air intake. I already tried to lower the bonnet as low it wen't but it still makes the sound. After I removed the seal completely the ratt...

That might well be the case. Don't know if the newer type bezel even fits to the older column?

Re: Lock barrel replacements

The early types have ignition lock barrel that is shorter than on later models. Therefore the underside plastic cover is also different. I had to buy new lock for ignition and now the old cover won't fit properly :(

Re: 480 Turbo Sports Exhaust Silencer-£130

Well it looks interesting. I've always wondered If I could remove the old type silencer and insert a shorter muffler that goes straight from the rear axle bend to the rear. Straight pipe gives a bit too much noise for my taste... But for a racer why not...
