The fan heater blower switch has stopped working, so I'm hoping that'll be an easy fix.
Does it work on full speed?

Re: Radiator unnecessary "tip"??

they make the radiators universal - There were several options originally, now just 2: Big and Small.

Depending who's brand you'd bought (I know Nissens do), it should have come with some blanking hoses in case you need to plug additional outlets

Re: Update after 3 years of owning my 480

Excellent update! Few things..... 1). Tailights. Are they cracked at all? If not, look at getting them to a bodayshop for a coat of laquer; it'll make the world of difference! 2). Don't get amber bulbs for the repeaters - You end up with a "fried egg" look - get some silver ones (that still flash or...

Yup, timing belt kit:

Gates K015370XS (which contains 5370XS (Timing Belt), T41157(Tensioner Pulley), T42088 (Guide Pulley))

Water pump - I'd go for a Valeo pump - 506019

The lack of MOT is probably what's deterring most people.

b) I'm already 8 cars over limit at the moment!

Re: Quite urgent handbrake issue

Correct.

Cable pulls the lever, lever presses on a pin that pushes the piston out a couple of mm.

Re: Quite urgent handbrake issue

Handbrake cable is the absolute last part of adjustment, not the first. I’ve done a couple of posts about how to do but the TLDR summary is 1. Wind the pistons all the way back in 2. Apply the foot brake to push the pads against the disk 3. Adjust the caliper adjusters until the disc is locked, then...

Re: Radiator replacement options.

rads are fairly simple.
There's a big rad and a small rad.

Recently replaced a big rad, and whilst it looked like it was for a turbo (extra inlets) it came with blanking plugs making it suitable for a 2 litre (with AC).

The rad you linked is a small one, will be fine!

Re: Stony Stratford Summer Classic 2025

Something wrong with that RS200... the clamshell opens the wrong way... and it's an 02 plate.... Not wrong - its a kit car not a genuine one. however, as a prize for spotting it, you can have a photo of a genuine one, I took at a car show back in 2015 https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AP1Gc...
