Re: So, today was the day...

Plan B has so far involved not thinking about the wiring.... Got to be in the right frame of mind for it, and as most of the time i have to work outside, weather plays a very big role too. So, as a minor distraction, I figured I'd fit those bilsteins I got along with some wishbones - Still awaiting ...

The other thing to do when testing posts, have a “incognito/in private” session of your browser open. It means your viewing the post as a normal user, so in that browser session, your not logged into your google account.

Re: 1990 Turbo Auto - Fox

Let’s start with the good: if it’s investment, now is the time for young mr fox to learn how to protect his investment. Start with the two bucket wash method before moving to spanner’s  The bad and the ugly; well, sadly they’re inevitable. Take comfort from the fact they’re fixable. You’ve got ...

Possibly the worse kept secret....

Of course, I blame you lot for this. My lovely other half was approaching a significant birthday and the forum was ablaze with 480's owners getting more 480's. (you know who you are!) So, what could more appealing than her having her own 480? I scoured the land and found what I considered, to be abo...

Re: lift off oversteer

They were "sort of" designed to do it, but if the effect is way more pronounced than it should be, it could be that you've over compensated the rear; So.... Look to the front. Shocks? Anti-roll bar drop links/bushes? Wishbones? All in good condition? Tyre pressures all correct (not over inflated at ...

Re: How to be as cool as DCWalker?

I pray you don't have A981 trim code.... (arena, select leather).

Its the VERY light leather, and is rarer than brand new, undamaged 480 rear lights.

Ask me how I know......

Re: Bilstein B4's

And so, a follow up.....

Googling revealed that the kilen website looks shockingly similar to the lesjofors website. They’re the same damn company.

To allay my fears, I spoke to the customer service department of lesjofors this morning, who said they’re the exact same spring in a different box.

Re: My 480 life is just beginning!

On a tangent, I got my lip spoiler back from repair today. After trying to find a plastic repairer, it was eventually done by the business that backs onto my garage. He's done a great job, and all it needs now is a little bit of prep and paint. Very pleased for £30. You can clearly see the chunk th...

Re: Bilstein B4's

well, if you pop back to 1996, there probably was. Sadly, with such a small slice of market, its a wonder there's any parts still available! KYB's seem readily available as a standard shock (i struggled to find the uprated ones). I'd definitely recommend everyone check the lower spring mountings as ...

For standard replacements, I'd probably look at KYB's
Fronts: 633124
Rears: 343243

or if you wanted all Monroe
Fronts: 11153
Rears: 42044

At this stage of the game, its more about availability!

He’s absolutely still doing them - I’ve had a set in the last month or so. I usually contact him via Facebook, so if you need me to check with him, drop me a pm with the email address you used to contact him and I can ask him to check.
