I have decided to sell my 480 and have two options. Option 1 – Retest car and fix all MOT needs and advisories and sell for £1350 Option 2 – Sell as is for someone who has the resources to fix for £600 – see MOT history online H812GKX (I will not split items for parts) Car is in OX10 between Oxford...

Have to agree with Jifflemon. I opted for the Brinkie magic as well, in fact he has my unit at the moment. Well worth asking him to use his mysterious dark powers on it!

Re: Location of British 480 drivers
So is there a list. Could we make one where we can choose whether to add locations. Would be good to know who is close by in case they need support as Rachel did this week with her MOT. It could just be a list called Locations were we create Counties/Regions and then as folks reply and edit the list...

Rachel I have just replied via FB, sorry don't have one despite having boxes full of stuff.
Robert seems to have a good alternative if we all fail to help find one for you.
Good luck Trevor

Re: My second 480...... project 'sleeper'
Loving the updates and photos, I feel like I am in the garage with you. As I have only ever restored a car to normal spec, I have often wondered how you insure a vehicle which has been heavily modified? Do you go to a specialist provider and is it expensive. Just interested as next time I may be bra...

Re: Bitzer
I think it's like the Heinz joke for a mongrel e.g. 57 varieties of dog. In this case "bits of this" is bitzer. Also heard Henry Cole and Sam Lovegrove refer to some old motorbikes as bitzers as they have been cobbled together.

Re: Engine Type Query
Ok I have updated the folder. The green stickers have the engine code I am querying. The only other plate or sticker I can find is the riveted plate.
That's all I have to go on.
Cheers

Re: Engine Type Query
It's typed exactly the same as my text but on a green sticker along with lots of other codes. Hopefully these photo links will work Trevor http://s36.photobucket.com/user/Datos_Marver/media/20160804_151436_zpsen9aj20j.jpg.html?filters[user]=146091390&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0 http://s36.photobuck...

Engine Type Query
I am a bit confused about the type of engine I have in my 1991 480 ES Auto the tag in the engines shows:
"Model 480 B 18 EP, FT"
Sorry for sounding like a complete idiot but what does this mean, when I google it I get conflicting information.
Cheers

Re: How Many left Event in Aberdeenshire
If I had to describe my 480 i would simply say "uniquely different" and that is exactly why I chose it.
As for the profile in the press release I was 25-30 with no cash and wanted a 480, now I am 50-55 with cash which I spend on my 480.
