Re: Coolent running low but no leaks?

I had a loss which was the radiator side tanks. The plastic expands coolant escapes and it was hard to trace.

You can get dye and uv torch kits on ebay. Helps you spot it even when the coolant dries in.

Re: It Ran When Parked! An Calamitous Update

Gutted for you, thats a bad one. Few things you need to watch for. 1) The assesor will give you a low value, they only go by the trade values. 2) If they take it to a yard charges add up for storage and they try and hold on to the car. (think carefully about lettiing the car out of your posession). ...

Re: Import costs for Skandix Rear Wheel Arches?

I used a front n/s wing to repair a o/s rear. It wasnt too bad, the lower part works well at the sill though I cut a small piece out as it was longer.

There will be photos on the blinky thread. i am just a hobbyist a pro would probably make a 1st class job of it.

Sounds like a typical fast fit expert.

There was a few photos and maybe some measurements of the ride height on the forum.

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=34966&hilit=Height&start=40

Find a decent garage who can do alignment and see what the say.

Re: Front Shocks, Springs, Ride Height etc

it looks ok, sitting level. There was a few photo comparisons and I would say thats on the normal side. Hard to compare new and old as the old ones are often very saggy, but look nice and low. What size of tyres do you have fitted? How bad is the camber? I think there is a tiny bit of adjustment whe...

Black 480 L653GFC Edinburgh

A bit of a random spot for me. I was going to a meeting in Edinburgh and as I was early went looking for a coffee shop when I spotted this little black ES. It looks in good condition and I followed it for a mile, even managed to shout accross to the lady that it was great to see one on the road. htt...

I wont disappear altogether, I quite like the idea of being able to take advantage of a rescue car for meets if there is one available.

Which reminds me I should make another contribution to the fund :hopping:

Sad to report but blinky is now under new ownership.

Hopefully he will get the TLC it deserves.

It has been good being the custodian for the last 4 years and the forum has been invaluable.

I will able to put my time into my 1960's British cars that have been awaiting restoration time.

That fluid is rank.

Brakes are one thing that is worth spending time and money on.

Looking better for the fluid change, are you changing all the hoses or is this just to get it through an MOT?

Re: 1994 480 S on eBay

try the facebook groups and car and classic or just take a chance of eBay again.

I wouldn't advise breaking the car unless you have time and space, after the lights and high value parts are sold you end up with a lump of metal.
