Re: Festival of the unexceptional 2021

I was born and raised on a farm in Suffolk. I learnt to drive on a Massey Ferguson and a Landrover, from about 10 years old. I had 3 formal lessons in a Mk11 Escort then took my test and amazingly passed! My first car was a Mk1 mini that used to fall out of gear, it cost £70 to buy it. Happy days.

Re: R5: Black Manual SR Turbo

Classic car in delivery driver horror! A car transport driver was yesterday run over by a classic car he was delivering. Exact details unclear but the Volvo 480 appeared to have managed to unhook itself and flattened the driver. A curious aside the new owner said that the cars headlights popped up a...

Type of bolts/screws

Hi all, my plastic cover for rear hatch/petrol flap is loose. What type of screw/bolts are they that hold it. Have tried taking a picture with phone but it won’t focus! Am hoping they are Allen bolts or Phillips because of access. Don’t want to take seat out if I don’t have to.

Re: 1994 480 S on eBay

Sorry for your situation with the car Ben. I must agree with the other comments about current value.Just an idea do you have somewhere to store it until you can afford or have the time to get it sorted? It’s a real shame because cosmetically it looks so good.if this isn’t possible then I think break...

Re: Snazzy's story

Snazzy went in to finally have her re-furbed wheels fitted today, we left her sitting between a Range Rover and a new Porsche. She still held her head up high with her wonderful new livery despite the competition. She positively sparkled in the sun. Now, over the last 2 or 3 years we've had all our...

Looks a nice example. Would like to see pics of drivers seat bolster and the dash. The celeb interior is the “available extra” I take it? Will await Jeff’s critique but looks a good one.

Re: 1990 Turbo Auto

Good old Jeff a most helpful chap. I find he is very typical of forum members, a very friendly and helpful place. Good luck with your new mechanic a decent and reasonably priced one is hard to find. I struck lucky with Mark at RS autos, he served his time on renaults before setting up on his own. By...

MOT phobia

As a few of you know last year my celeb almost caught fire during its MOT. This was due to the cooling fan seizing and burning the wiring out! Subsequently discovered the fan was not fuse protected. This year what we thought was a drl bulb failure turned out to be the wiring for the rear number plat...
