Timing wheel pattern B18F
Hi chaps and chappesses..... Could someone point me in the direction of where I might find out what the timing wheel pattern is in my 1994 B18F please..? Interweb didn't turn up anything useful but I might have been looking in the wrong place. Is it something 'normal' like a 60-2 or a 36-1 or someth...

Re: Mating with Renault 172
Yessir... E10 is 10% Ethanol 90% Unleaded, rather than the E5 which is 5%/95% (I'm sure that you get the idea) that's currently being sold..... Maybe this should go to a different thread...... Anyhoo, thanks all for the Renault/Volvo mating info. It's given me food for thought. I'll update here when...

Re: Mating with Renault 172
A worthy entrant to the list of possibilities..... and something else has just reared it's head that may warrant discussion..... I have been going through a list of vehicles that will/will not be compatible with E10 when it becomes the norm and the F5R does not come out too favourably. Volvo, funnil...

Re: Mating with Renault 172
Cracking stuff and just the info I was looking for. Regarding the models Tim, just the 480'S' I believe but I could be mistaken. I will soon have the room in the workshop to get an F7R up on the engine stand and check out the 'mating ritual'. If it's just relocating a dowel I should be able to accom...

Re: Mating with Renault 172
Thanks for the nod Tim. I've checked Slash's posts regarding the Rally 480 and he sure has done some research..! Now that I'm starting to get a little comfy with the Volvo/Renault naming standards, it is becoming a little clearer (pride goeth before a fall!). F7R looks like what I'm after if I choos...

Re: Mating with Renault 172
I was more thinking of putting a complete N/A engine (Sump to rocker cover(s)) onto an existing 5 speed manual transmission. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure exactly what I DO want. I was clearing out my spares shelf in the garage last weekend (I'm finishing building a Lancia 037 Group 'B' car) ...

Mating with Renault 172
Hi guys 'n gals.... New kid on the block, so please be kind...! The title says is all really. I've had a run through the topics here but I apologise if this has already been discussed. Is it possible to mate a Renault 172/182 type block to a B18 block..? Thanks in advance for any input and opinions ...
