Re: My Old Turbo (L904 FCW)

Alot of owners have a stash of parts (myself included) Alot of owners don't like to give up spares (myself inlcuded) BUT. Alot of owners will sell/trade/barter etc parts if its for a good cause and not for someone going to waste the parts! so you could well be in luck that way of it if you really do...

Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!

Replacement reconditioned crank arrived about a week ago, sent away to get dimensionally checked and came back perfect so new KING Racing bearings are here for the bottom end in standard sizes along with ARP main bearing studs and hardware! Waiting on the block being bored/honed and head to be rebui...

Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!

Block Number 2 (which coincidently was actually the first Williams engine I bought) has been pulled out of storage. This block was all nicely honed and painted with new oil pump bearings pressed in before I ended up buying the second engine in 2018 (the one that has just gone pop!) upon inspection i...

Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!

I might have a spare block but i'd rather not waste one by splitting cylinder walls! haha plus i have a £140 athena MLS head gasket here for standard bore because the head was off away getting done anyway, so will have to pick the best block and get it honed and fire on!

Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!

Noooo never the nicest sight on a Saturday morning! it seems my spare crank isn't actually what it's supposed to me and is for a later engine with a chain-driven oil pump, supposedly the "do work" but not taking the chances. I've managed to source and buy a replacement Clio Williams crank from a sli...

Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!

Gather round kids and grab your popcorn for a story of 'not high enough oil pressure' based woe! SO. after spending £50 on some fancy drill bits to remove the 16/21 remaining buggered torx bits bolding the sump on (for anyone interested Milwaukee's new shockwave impact drill bits are fantastic) I wa...

Re: Wanted - under bonnet rubber seals & other things

Thanks again all. Right.... If Jeff wanted the gauges for stock and a worthwhile sounding project, and Alan doesn't want the gauges in Nora, then the simplest seems to be if I take Alan up on his offer of returning them to me. They were my last spare set and yes, I did leave the storage cubby (or "...

Re: Wanted - under bonnet rubber seals & other things

Hi Folks, I - think - I have about 3 sets of mudflaps.... in mostly good condition but with their mounting tabs in varying condition and probably requiring a little engineering when fixing I do have a full set of all door mouldings off a GT, would need to check the condition, however - can't remembe...
