Re: Turbo suspension parts on an ES?

Hi Aron, I have been thinking the same as yourself regarding using turbo suspension on my Celebration, my suspension is pretty tired but added into the fact I hammered a fresh pothole just last week and this has left me with a nasty rattle from my N/S shock. I was wondering if you got any further wi...

Re: Alloy Wheel Changeover

Hi, Have a look at this site:

http://www.willtheyfit.com/

Seems to give a pretty good idea of how it affects the placement of the wheel, I was just wondering has anybody had issues with handling after changing wheels with the incorrect offset?

Alloy Wheel Changeover

Hi, I've recently seen a set of second hand Borbet A wheels in good condition for sale locally and think they may look rather smart on my Celebration, it currently has the standard Celebration wheels fitted. The new wheels are the correct PCD but have an offset of 20 and are 7.5" wide, as I understa...

Wanted Turbo Calipers

Hi Folks, I'm going to replace the front pads & discs on my Celebration in the next month or so but I really would prefer vented brakes. I served my time as a mechanic right through the ninties and find it strange to have a 2.0 1994 car with solid discs, these where only on small capacity Fiesta's &...

Re: Last bits of my 480 interior goodies

Hi Mark,

Just had a pheasant run out in front of me over the weekend.

It broke the O/S day time main beam light and the O/S Headlight hinges.

Would you be able to assist?

Thanks
Craig

Re: Volvo 480 L reg 1993 turbo black breaking for spares

Hi, I'd be interested in the front calipers with the carriers if they are vented?

Thanks

Re: First time Volvo owner

Hi Gents, I went to the local Volvo dealer on Saturday to collect the headlamp motor relay that I'd ordered. I was given a small 4 pin relay, I told the partsman that this was not the relay that I wanted (I want the tall one), he tells me that this is the only Headlamp motor relay. I went out to the...

Re: First time Volvo owner

I decided to take the pop up relay apart earlier today and discovered a break in one of the circuits. I did a quick bit of soldering and put it back in the car, hey presto the lights are working fully again. :hopping: 10 minutes later Volvo called to tell me the one I ordered was now in stock, think...

Re: First time Volvo owner

I've not had the opportunity to disconnect the battery yet as I've been using the car the last couple of evening (I could have used the Lupo :( but that just defies the point of having the Volvo) However on the way into work this morning the Lambda light went off, I've no idea when it happened but o...

Re: 2.0 upgrade options

Thanks guys,
I don't think I'll be making those kind of changes, I'm more of the subtle modder. As long as she's going, braking and handling to her best I'll be happy.

Re: First time Volvo owner

I drove in this morning and it stayed on all the way in, it had been intermittent prior to the new downpipe and Lambda sensor and I assumed it had been flashing up because of the exhaust blowing so badly. I'm going to take it home this evening & disconnect the battery to clear out any fault codes an...

2.0 upgrade options

Hi All, Just picked up my first 480 (celebration) and after having a good look over I'm very happy with my purchase however I am interested in upgrading parts as they begin to fail or require replacement. Just to be clear I don't mean slamming her to the deck and having the boot full of amps and bas...

Re: First time Volvo owner

Hi Jamesy, thanks but I've just got back from Kwik Fit, exhaust is fitted and immediately has made a difference all round although the lambda sensor light is on, hopefully a proper run to work and back tomorrow will sort it. I'm not a doric speaker myself, I'm Glaswegian but been here 12 years and s...

Re: First time Volvo owner

Hi James & Steve, Thanks for the info guys, I've done around during 200 miles over the last two days and the exhaust has gotten worse so I have decided to take it to Kwik Fit in the morning, it'll be nice to see how it actually drives. The car belonged to an old boy for the last nine years who's fam...

First time Volvo owner

:D Hi folks, I decided to buy myself a run around for work as I'd sold the family car and bought a Lupo to teach the missus to drive but after 3 months of her avoiding taking a single lesson and me pootering around in a car that makes the local teenagers cringe when they see a grown man driving arou...
