Oh at least 3, given the scarcity of the beasties on British roads these days
I'd like to think we can get at least 15 cars up for the meet in September...

Re: UK Meet Up & UK Register?
Ok, it sounds like some kind of a plan is coming together: Saturday 22nd September 2012, meet up in Leeds around midday, have some lunch, take a drive out somewhere picturesque (Skipton, Malham , Dales etc), stop for a pint and photo shoot, then either head off from there or return to Leeds for a re...

Re: UK Meet Up & UK Register? Starters for 10
22nd Sept is fine for me. I guess we'd be looking at sorting out: More definite timing Location Activities Food / Drink Press / PR Date : Saturday 22nd September 2012 Timing - would suggest a lunch-time gathering to allow travelling up, with some 'doing stuff' in the afternoon and a get together in ...

Re: UK Meet Up & UK Register?
Great! Thats at least 4 of us now.. How about we aim for a weekend in early September - gives some time to bring more people in, and allows for the (faint) possibility of an improvement in the weather :) Leeds has excellent accommodation for those travelling from further afield, plus the roads are g...

Peeling Lacquer
My 95 ES (70k) is suffering from patchy and peeling lacquer, recently made much worse by my son's attempt to clean the car with a power washer. I guess the best solution would be to go for a respray, but was wondering if anyone on here had any tips or had encountered (and overcome) similar problems?...

UK Meet Up & UK Register?
Hello, I see from the club site that the majority (if not all) meetings of 480 enthusiasts seem to take place in continental Europe. So, having recently returned to the 480 fold in the UK after a couple of years away, I was wondering what the appetite might be to organise some kind of a get together...

Re: Agreed Value / Classic Insurance for 480 - Where?
Thanks very much for taking the time to respond - since I last posted I've had a quote from Chaucer (through the Lancaster website) which has come out at 303 pounds, on a similar 3k per year agreed valuation basis as yours. I'll try Chris Knott too, as any money saved is money that can be spent on t...

Agreed Value / Classic Insurance for 480 - Where?
Hello folks, I'm trying to find a reasonable quote for insuring my 95 ES 2.0 to drive <3000 miles per year (weekend use only) on an agreed valuation / limited mileage basis. I've tried Adrian Flux, whose agents said that because the car was a 95, it would have to be treated as an 'everyday' policy ?...

Re: N... VAN Celebration - Walkden Ave, Wigan
Hello there,
Well, it wasn't me, but I'm not far away, in Sunny Darwen
Wine metallic '95 ES, just returned to the 480 fold after a couple of years driving boring stuff.
Would be happy to meet up and talk about all things 480 if you'd like.
Cheers!

Many thanks Jim for your prompt response and excellent service.
I don't suppose you have any front light clusters in serviceable condition? My car has one clear (nearside) and one orange (offside). I'd prefer a matching set...

Agreed! So, where might I go to find something a little more reasonable and realistic?
Any pointers appreciated

WANTED! Rear window washer nozzle
Hello, I've just acquired a very nice 1995 ES with only 70k on the clock and in very fine order bodily (except for lacquer issues which I'll post about seperately). The rear windscreen washer nozzle is inoperative (missing) so I'm looking for a replacement - please pm me or respond to my post if you...

Crazy Insurance Quotes - What has changed & Any ideas?
Hello 480 friends, I've just returned to the 480 fold after a few years absence, with the purchase of a 1995 2.0ES (70k, rust free) I'm contemplating running her as a second car, but am astounded at the daft quotes I've been getting for even reduced mileage - for example, £1789 for 3000 miles per ye...
