Life and times of a Groomlake' Crank Head

In the old days (2000 - 2005) we drove a Volvo 480 http://www.pistonheads.com/members/showServiceHistory.asp?carId=296 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/levensnevel/CheeseWedge/040521B07R5.jpg a hefty increase in distance between home and work required us to say goodbye to our Blue Bell. We trad...

Re: It is time to call it a day

Hi Guys, 10 years and 4 months later: you can check any time you like, but ..... It might be we'll return to our favorite wedge of cheese after all these years. What has changed? Well, after living 30 years in the house where our kids grew up we bought new dwellings for the third phase in our lives....

well Daniel,
In all honesty: it remains to be seen whether or not Volvo will succeed to sell 60,000 C30's each year. If memory serves me correctly Volvo had similar optimistic productionfigures in mind when the 480 was launched.

I voted 'Any person who loves cars' aswell. For me it proved to be the ideal 'family car'. Ideal for me (daily 80 miles commuting ) and the rest of the family (the missus and 2 sons [both 180 cm plus]. Unfortunatey things have changed: daily commuting increas to some 130 miles ands both sons have fo...

In view of the dutch baseprice for the C30 T5 version of 37,000.00 euro's I'll prefer an experienced Lotus Elise or a similar experienced Mazda RX8.

Saturday last I had the scare of my life :badmood: My nextdoor neighbour, who normally drives an Audi A3, had parked an Audi  Q7  in front of his house. A few minutes later he and his wife drove away with a big smile on their faces. Lets hope it was just a testdrive for the fun of it a...

well, for the next time you or your GF is clumsy enough to use the handbrake while the temperatures are below freezingpoint: switch on the engine and keep her running for approx half an hour. The heat of the exhaust will sort out your handbrake cable problems. If you're brake calipers are stuck you ...

Not sure if anyone has posted this URL B4 But when I was surfing the Inet for info and data on my new 4 wheeled companion I found an interesting website for carparts http://www.carparts-cat.com/nl/pkw/fzg/pkwherst.asp?SID=8481812674652109&ROOT=1 Might be of use for reference purposes for those chees...

mmmm,

I agree with 2127.
I'm very, very disappointed. The beancounters at Ford HQ have apparently won, if this is really going 2B the C30
This is so gray and middle of the road, it is a waste of space.
The new Honda Civic is a zillion times more exiting i'm afraid.
