Re: ECU Modification

Hi Robou hope you are keeping well. I have ran both mods Rich's and Robou's on various 480 turbos over the years and experienced no trouble at all in relation to performance and engine/gearbox behaviour. Both achieve the same result but are tuned to respond or handle differently. I was an active mod...

Re: Just how safe should I feel?

A few years ago my daughter lost control in torrential rain (saquaplaned at a bend ) crossed the road hit a wall bounced back across road and thumped into the crash barrier and stopped . Car was just about driveable and limped home daughter was fine.
These cars are safe .

Re: Volvo 480 2.0l Celebration "Breaking" all parts availabl

The seal is indeed integral to the rear side windows. It took me less than 30 seconds to remove one but about 4 minutes to replace it. such is life ;) You start at the rear bottom part of window where the broad rubber bit is....... with the rear boot lid up so that you can get access to both inside ...

Re: The Wolf roams

Be aware that the rear engine mount for a 91 model is diferrent from the later models . The change over year was mid 92. From memory the older version is discontinued and the newer mount wont fit . the metal brackets are different as well not a straingtforward job to swop over metal mount frame and ...

Re: ECU Modification

WOW I wouldnt touch this with a bargepole but that is a personal opinion. You cant compare this with either a rich or robou mod. The last few lines of the advert indicate that to run this you have to invest in some other hardware. If like ADe you are adept at working with engines and high performanc...

Re: Getting more out of my 480!

Upgrading performance then the best way to go is get a 480 turbo and upgrade the ecu then the little car will fly + 140mph . Put it this way at those speeds raising the popups will lose you at least 10mph through increased drag . (dont ask me how I know this as I couldnt possibly say ;) ) lower the ...

Re: Questions about changing brake lines

Anderz I have owned a number of 480 cars and I have changed some brake lines myself and had to get a garage to do others it all depends on how rusted they are. the connection with the various ends was the determining factor. I svenska Jag har ägt ett antal 480 bilar och jag har ändrat några bromsled...

Re: Starter Motor Replacement - how complex?

Look up " stone age technology " for info on a starter button . Personally I would just run a wire to the starter motor and see what happens . if nothing then your problem lies in the starter motor. If it starts you have the choice of a starter button or delving deeper into your problem. from an ear...
