You wouldn't no for an answer? ;)

I haven't seen one, there are some tests of a the facelift 440/460 with the revised B20F engine.

I think the Clio Ph2 RS had a 215mm clutch so this could be a upgrade for the later 480 boxes as well.

Re: Got to look at this one- weird 480 engine

Looks like a diesel engine to me, it isn't in a 480 either. The bonnet falls between the front wings not on top as on a 480.

Re: Engine Blocks

Are head swaps also allowed for sprints and hillclimbs?

The cheapest way to make sure is to buy a B20F and F7R gaskets and compare them.

Re: Volvo 480T goes Touring Car Racing

Nice blog and a cool project. Suspension wise you could opt for 40mm lowering springs, however you can go for coilovers made by Leda. Protech is also open for custom work. Enginewise you could hunt down a 1.6 (B16F) from a Volvo 440/460 to get in the desired engine class. The stock T2 ran out of pow...

What are the differences between the Clio RS brake disc and a Corrado G60 brake disc?

Worth Getting up at dawn for

One day in April 1987 I spent the day at Donington Park where Volvo Concessionaires officially introduced the ’87 model range to members of it’s dealer network. This was the first opportunity many of us would have to drive the much anticipated Volvo 480ES. http://www.psychoontyres.co.uk/wp-content/...

Re: UK insurance

Thanks!
There aren't many insurancers that offer affordable 3rd party insurance, if you know one let us know. What I have found were more expensive than fully comprehensive.

Any experience with Footman Jones and/ or Adrian Flux?

UK insurance

Im sure it has been covered overhere, but since my Google-Fu is a bit low on the moment. I just asked it again.

What are good, reliable and affordable insurancers for a Volvo 480 in the UK?

Cheers,
Richard

Re: Which is the best all round 480??

It may not be the best 480, but a pre 1988 ES is very collectable (in my view) and has a lot of goodies which were later modified or omitted.
A good running B18E (ok, a bit difficult) is a very revvy engine. It lacks offcourse the punch of a B18FT or the torque of a B20F.

Cannot access Volvo480forum.com

Cannot visit the dutch forum anymore after moving to the UK.

I seemed to been banned from using that forum.

Anyone the same trouble?

Renault 5 GTE?

Doesn't surprise me, but never have seen examples of them. Formula Renault did 135hp with 1.7 and 175hp with the 2.0l block

Why not close the registration of new members for a couple of weeks?

The real 480 fans will come back and you buy some time to solve things while the forum remains functional.
