Mine cost 90squid, that was for a refurb, but would have been exactly the same price for a new unit (new units workn on an exchange basis; they need your old unit). Will investigate further if fuse goes again, but as it never worked since my altenator packed up would guess that some kind of change in current as the altenator was kicking out its last bit of power probably cauesd it!!

Is all fixed now, through cutting a few cable ties and tracing the wiring, found an inline 80A 'MEGA FUSE' not far after the altenator it was for some reson blown. Stole a replacement form the scrsapyard. These fuses were apparently fited by Volvo as a recall after a number of altenator faults cause...

Sorry mate, only just seen this, just to let you know that have just done altenator on mine (also has aircon) so if any advice needed let us know!! And it is not a pig of a job with air-con, everyone told me this, but was suprised whan it took about twenty five minutes out and in!! Just need a cloth...

Have temporailary fixed prob by adding a temporary cable straight from big terminal on altenator directly to positve terminal on battery, so must be a prob in wiring between terminal on altenator and battery!! Had same bother when trying to get oil for my box, no one-listed it. Ended up buying off volvo, who just had part number and oil came in unmarked can so could have been anything. Wrong oil can be seriously bad for box, so probably worth paying that bit more and getting of volvo. Mine ended up costin...
