where abouts is the Lambda sensor and is it accessible without proper tools etc????

i could do with disconnecting it to see if it affects my car
think its a similar problem to MatBats

basically i'm skint as fuck

so is there any way with a bit of time and knowledge from here and my neighbour (who will help with my car, he's fixed his own cars before although no volvo 480's) that i could find out the problem and DIY the repairs???

If the problem is due to the lamba sensor how would i go about checking it or would i need to shell out and get a garage to do a once over?

don't think they suit the car that much, chunkier spokes look better on 480's imo

i've noticed the volv has been eating the 90p fuel like mad

dunno if this is similar to martins problem or not when i'm driving i get near no response from the engine on acceleration even with my foot to the floor then the engine seems to think about it and starts to speed up but very slowly, sometimes in 5ht i've accelerated foot flat down and got no increa...

it works occasionally but on the whole doesnt budge...pain in the arse

cheers for the help all @ catgroom ended up buying murfs green 480 S i'll maybe have a bash at the accelerator cable 2moro if i'm feeling adventurous, not really messed about with any cars mechanis before except for the basics oh yeh and Murf, what did you tell me i needed to stop the minor oil leak...

also does anyone elses dash panel have the light lit up for the headlamps all the time?

my 480's right front indicator has packed in when i indicate the indicator light nside on the dash flickers like mad but if i indicate left it does it intermittently and slower any ideas? also while having a look under the ol' bonnet i noticed the accelerator cable is quite slack, could it be loose ...
