Thanks for all the help! I don't think I'll have a problem finding a 2.0l flywheel. The machining isn't a problem, cause now I don't have to balance it or making new holes to fit the clutch. Yippie! Now when the clutch seems to be sorted I'll just have to wait for my piston rings to arrive then I ca...

Ooops! thanks you very much! OK, so the 2.0 has the late turbo clutch then? How about the teething? Is that similar to a turbo one? If the clutch fits, that's OK, but the best thing would be if the teeth are similar as well. The it should be a straight swap.

Thanks again,

Lars

Sounds great! So do you have a turbo one as well, so you could compare them physically together? I really would appriciate the info and I'm not trying to stress you or anything, but when do you think you'll be breaking that engine? Just so I know if I have to order clutch/flywheel in advance or anyt...

Thanks for the replys. As always it's very difficult when not having the parts in your own hands checking them out. Well, according to VIDA, the Volvo it's the exact same exchange part no. 3454004. Does someone have a spare flywheel or know the number of teeth on the late 2.0l flywheel? If the no. o...

Ok, I've just got a new question for you guys. A scrappie here in Sweden said that the flywheel from a late B20F (-96) has the same flywheel. I checked the volvo parts list and what I found was just three different flywheels and this info: 3411116-1 no info 3433338-5 -> ch.no. 567599 3454004-7 ch. n...

Allright, I'm still having a lookout for a new flywheel but to get all other parts. Does anyone know which Laguna clutch plate fits (year and engine)and is best for the late type flywheel? Perhaps someone knows where I even can get jus a clutch plate for a reasonable price? Would appriciate any help...

It sure does, you probably convinced me to machine my current flywheel to fit the newer type clutch! If there's room it shouldn't be a problem. Anyone know a good place to buy a Laguna clutch plate? What model/Year of the Laguna is it by the way?

Thanks, big time,

Lars

Well, Ive checked the brake lines, but not the servo yet. I'll try that as soon as I get the time. But since it's just the front brakes sticking I've never actually given it much thought, maybe I have to now.

Cheers,

Lars

OK! Big thanks to you Rich, so your saying that my purple will get a somewhat correct triggering from the newer flywheel? Since I've never seen that one, how's the triggering done, differently? But if I can't get hold of a flywheel, is the old flywheel so small that I'll end up with drilling holes j...

Ok, thanks Rich, nice to see your project. Well basically it's either way round, isn't it? If there's not a possibility to fit the newer clutch to the old flywheel, my question is (since I haven't ever seen the new type flywheel either) if this can be altered to fit y current purple ECU. Since it's ...

OK, clutch haven't yet been sorted out...

Hello there, Since I'm (again) currently having a complete engine rebuild at the moment and my latest clutch wasn't up for the job (a GSF RGTT upgrade Valeo one). The problem is now that I really want to fit the later type (bigger) clutch but I've never even seen one! My question is if someone out t...

I surely will! Why I thought it was the calipers was because it was just one wheel at first at the MOT. Now both have the problem, probably have been both all the time. I can't do anything else than to try and renovate the master cylinder and go from there I think.

Lets see what happens,

Yep, I'm afraid I did change the brackets. Off course there is little play in the sliding pins but it's only marginally. I'd suppose all play is bad but quite confident that this isn't the source of the problem, cause it's the exact same problem with the new calipers. Has anyone experinces from this...

Sticking front brakes...

Hi, I've got this wierd problem. Every once in a while when I do a hard braking the front brakes don't disengage as they should. Never happens to the rear brakes. I've changed and renovated both calipers but the problem consists. Has anyone else had the same problem? I'm going to fit new hoses and i...

Aha, I can see why you probably think I'm a bit of an idiot when I speak of 230 bhp and haven't mentioned the turbo. I'm tuning a turbo 480. At the moment I have gone to the limit where bigger jobs has to be done, I reckon. That's why I've started doing some mods in the cylinderhead and runners myse...

Thought I might continue on this thread cause it's a follow-up in this project. Does anyone know if there's different markings ON the different camshafts? I've got a supposedly B18E cam on a deal here but he doesn't seem to know for sure. Any info would be great, cause I don't have it here to measur...

Well, I hope I've not given you guys ideas about me building a full race prepped funny car. This is an ordinary road car, but I'd like to see if I can get a little more hmmpf out of it and still holding the engine together. Since I've got a complete extra set of everything enginewise and gearbox I'l...

Thanks a lot guys! I'm about to do some minor work sorting out the flaws in my turbo head at the moment and I was thinking there might be a different head with somewhat bigger valves. I was thinking about putting bigger inlet valves in but I think I'll try with the standard ones and see if I just ca...
