Turbo GT 1994 red wine met. for sale

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

Sorry, my mistake, should have seen this.
However in the past I have seen many 480 2.0 that where advertised as turbo's.

I'll await your photo's on the forum.

I am actually looking for a Belgian 480 GT Turbo (MC 20 on the chassisplate) red wine met. or similar but as "collection" or "celebration"

I have been looking since 2002 but have so far not found one with a complete history (since the quote) and non-smoking....

I know that at present a Celebration is offered near Saarbrucken but the fella is not responding to mails.

Do you have an idea as for price?

There would be an all out scrum for a RHD GT Turbo, Stu! Don't worry mate, I don't think you could live with that interior could you?

Pre 93 480's are 1721cc

Post by tevred turbo » Mon Feb 20, 2006 7:12 pm

Just for the record 480's are not 1.8!

you refer to it as a 1.8 if the cc is over an extra 1/2 litre E.g. 1751cc

The Renault 1721cc is therefore a 1.7!

Just thought I'd clear that up!

Also there is no such thing as 2.0ltr turbos, they produced an engine for the facelifted prototype but never produced the 2.0i with a turbo.

Not to disagree or anything, but aren't the engine identifiers B18FT for the 1.7/1.8 and B20F for the 2 litre - looks like Renault/Volvo considered the engine a 1.8 from that.

Most companies will list it as a 1.8. I think it's just standard petrol engines are not normally 1.7. Normally 1.6 or 1.8. Same as parts companies list 1.5 as 1.4 in relation to my mates honda which is a 1490 summit cc. Just being traditional i guess!

No I guess your right - 1.7 is quite rare but thats a 480 for you.

I just hear some silly things sometimes and I never really log into the forum so I hope you didn't find me cheeky!

Best wishes

Anthony

Johns right, 1.3 (654cc per unit), the mk1 was smaller though, just short of 600cc on each unit

i always thought it was all to do with insurance and sales, as to class the 1.7 as a 1.7 they were actually understating the cc of the engine....they have to round up?
and 1.8 sounds nicer than 1721?
