I have just found this and it is making me nervous, it is supposedly a special edition but with peacock green and dark grey, in addition it has Vesa wheels, and a prancing moose badge, It is just hitting all the wrong buttons, and making me question my sanity, just what is it?

The interior trim says it is a limited edition two tone.
Someone has replaced the standard fit Taurus wheels with Vesa wheels.
They have also removed the Limited Edition badge from the OS rear under the lamp unit, plus all the other badges.
As for the dark grey, the lower half must have been resprayed. It should, of course, be silver. Are those bumpers actually painted, or has someone tried to get the side colour to match non-painted bumpers?
Actually I can see now they are painted - but the stripe in the side strips and on the bumpers should be peacock green, and isn't.
Don't be nervous Ben!! I doubt it's worth £4k plus but it's probably harmless!

I've checked and it is definitely a limited edition, albeit a customised one. I dont suppose the owner kept the badges.... sigh

The MoT history suggests it’s been on and off the road quite a bit over the years. Passed just five tests since 2008.
The owner has told me he “took it off the market to have a new window regulator fitted.” but it’s for sale again now.

/suspicious mode on:
To me, that suggests the current keeper is responsible for the modifications;
I'm spying early foglamps on a late car, so front and rear bumpers and lower paint are probably all recent - Why?
Bargain basement tyres, sizeable dent in the NSR wheel
Bolt on tailpipe for maximum shiny effort
Anyone else noticed one rear photo shows no badges, and the others have badges?

Re the badges - yes, eventually...hence first I said the Limited Edition badge (only) was missing then changed it to all badges.
I think actually the 1.7 two tone is right to have early style fogs though - I'll check the brochures. Later fogs came in later than other facelift features like the new mirrors; I think they were of a time with the white indicators...
Definitely questionable history around the whole lower half though, I'm sure.

Apologies for the slight thread bump, but this is what K652BEG used to look like. Believe it or not, I very nearly bought this car as it was for sale at the same time as Josephine. I ended up purchasing Josephine instead because she had a much more sensible asking price. I also felt that J was a more ‘honest’ example. In the end, it was probably the prospect of having the bigger engine that was the final decider between the two TTs

Looks like it is still stuck in the 90s too...
