With the latest advice RE COVID-19
After lockdown ends:

Probably best for spares.
It's white, needs a windscreen, a clutch, may be missing a few small bits under the bonnet such as pcb breather.
Arches need repairing. Roof has a few ripples from kids having climbed the car and from a few bits being stored on top. (Weirdly I have a spare roof also...not sure if dented itself but you can have it)
Tyres are flat...will try to get them pumped up.
Mostly all there.
Would much prefer it to be saved or used as spares to keep other 480s going than to just scrap.
When I had it I preferred it to drive over the turbo.
Interior was nice on it.


£150 or offers (no offence will be taken at low offers as it has to go.)
Quick removal prioritized.
Located near Middlesbrough.

(There is also a mass of spare parts available from doors to wiring to most of an engine. Close to a full car in spares.
Max price £15 for any item.
If someone has storage I'm willing to donate all spares to the club as 1 lot otherwise it may all have to be scrapped.)

Sadly it sounds as if it needs to join the other spare parts

I have no capacity for a whole car sadly - but if there is a good condition passenger compartment fitted carpet with decent footwells going spare, i'd happily make the journey up north (lock down allowing ).

Is there any chance you could post some photos of the vehicle ? , i'm interested in the seats if they are in good condition , the front fabric seat foam on my White 1990 Turbo seats have turned to dust....

I have space to take the whole car for spare and i may also be able to sort someone to pick it up and deliver

Sorry for such a long delay, due to the varying tiers/lockdown/etc. And not being local to the unit I finally had chance to get up to the unit a few weeks ago and dig the 480 out somewhat and then plunged back into lockdown.

Quick review, 480 please consider it a rolling shell with some missing parts for spares. V5 present. All tyres have inflated. Not sure if brakes are free so may roll or need dragging out.(directly in front of garage door so would be a straight pull in any case.) I need this 480 gone first so I can get access and make available other spares in the unit. Due to distance and rules, would need to arrange collection in advance. (Possibly after the current lockdown ends) £50ono.

Longer review:

Bro has also dug v5 out...looks like it may have been off the road in the garage since ~2012! Was a bit shocked it was that long.

Tbh it's having dug it out it is just a spares bucket essentially and a shame as it was the one that drove the nicest all round when it was my daily.

It's missing a few more bits than I remember such as ignition barrel and alternator (used to save others after vanfalism) and the dash and a few bits appear to be on the passenger seat.
And as previously stated rear arches are shot and needs a windscreen (surround is somewhat rusty not sure how surface the rust there is.)

Seats are OK but a some have a couple of small cigarette burns (Users of the car after me have smoked in it) and what appears to be a small amount of paint on one of the rear seats but only the flap at very bottom at the back for when seat is tipped forward hopefully that would just wash off.
All 4 tyres pumped up fine!

Rear windows have been tinted with film at some point so should be easy to undo.

It definitely needed a clutch when parked up.

Basically, I need it moving for the room so I can start getting the other spares down from the storage 'floor' to see what there is and to empty the unit.
There are lots of parts up there from a dismantled 92/93 1.7 manual inc. wiring as well as a bunch of Citroen stuff and various other stuff.

Fitting with the rules and with time issues any collections will have to be arranged in advance so I could ensure time off work to open the unit for the collector. (I appreciate it may only be possible to start this once the current lockdown is lifted) It would need the 480 to be the first thing collected for both the space cleared and access to other items (if there are other parts only the lower level wanted by that person they could take those parts at the same time)
£50 would be welcome though if someone could come to take it away free would be acceptable as I'd rather it be used to save others than weighed in and once I have gotten more of the spares down they would be available for free.

There are also some proper tyre machines including a balancer if anyone would be interested....maybe if there's somewhere for them to be club machines?
These will be accessible once the 480 has been removed. I'd take any offers on them if they can be collected or if they are to become club machines free upwards is fine.

So, in summary, you have a 480 shaped pile of spares blocking up a garage in which you have more 480 spares plus other useful sounding items?

If for else, it sounds just what the Rescue Group could use!

As you so rightly say, we're all rather stuck at the mo due to lockdown, but I have no doubt that a couple of us other northerners remain happy to try to help you with this.

Biggest issue I suspect will be finding somewhere to move the car to, but I have a possible on that front.
