it's got to be done, just can't help myself if it is blue and a turbo...mind you if the price goes high I will need to drop out (sorry Jamesalx) cos I just got some Ronal Turbo alloys off Fleabay. Well I've paid for some anyway....based on past experiences that doesn't always mean they are mine.....

Just thought I'd post here, as I bought it, some will know me as Cookie on Volvoforums or Lord B moderating t5d5

always wanted a 480 turbo, and kinda accidentally bought it, then had to fess up to wife, plan was to keep origional, clean up a bit etc, it needs some work, NS headlight doesn't always go down, the paintwork/repair on drivers side is rough, its hardly been driven since 2001, and was last time it was properly serviced, tyres were all but rotten

Currently have a S60 D5, and did have a V40 T4 which used to go on track, and replaced my V70 T5, which also went on track (and off occasionally), however killed my T4 at Woodbridge on a trackday other week, just after getting the 480, so am now breaking the T4, collecting another S60 D5 on wednesday, and so plans have changed a bit

480 will be cleaned up, another decent service (oil filter was 12 years old ), all fluids, HT leads and cap........ fit a stereo, set of reasonable tyres, replace bushes, probably front wishbones...... sort out the gremlins, and get a richmod or similar ECU, so I can run stock trundling around, and then hoon on track,

anyone got tuned ECU or anything else i may find useful up for sale, let me know.

For the ECU, forum member Robou is your man, you will need to find out what label colours you have. Probably in a 1993 car the EZ210K ECU behind the ashtray will have a blue label, and the Jetronic ECU behind the trim on the right hand side of the drivers' footwell will have a green one.

As you can see from my signature I have a Paris Blue parts car I am stripping slowly, so if you need something just give me a shout.

I have spare pair of richmoded modules en route, so have the choice........ tuned or not, as plan is to have a go on track with it, but for moment plan is to keep stock for road, standard suspension etc, but strip, check/replace bushes, then if all goes well, can fit coil overs, modules etc, trailer to track hoon around, not sure how hard to replace shocks, if all the bolts are freed up, but on a V40 can replace all the legs within an hour.


problem is what works well on track, tends to ruin car on roads, its only bought as a bit of fun so will see what happens next year.
