White 480 turbos on eBay x 3

Cleaned up the garage, found parts laying around, but it turned out to be a complete Volvo 480? If you want to sell your car (480 only) you can place an advert here.

yes and all 3 are overpriced !!!!!

The one at £1100 has a 5 page thread on VOC forum. He also puts up he will accept £950 having knocked back £800 and £900 bids.

TBH at these prices  :bla:

When you are searching for a turbo, having three that don't float your boat is annoying!

to be fair mine is the better car by far out of the 3 on ebay. yes it has silly lights but the reason i have kept them on is because i dont want the car to have holes in the bumper. and glasgowjim there is no harm in trying to sell a car to what (I) THINK ITS WORTH ((NOT WHAT YOU THINK ITS WORTH)) ... and jay-kay-em my 480 IS WELL WORTH IT. Am i bonkers for knocking the 900 bid... in my opinion jim no im not.

Hey, no offence intended drew; I just want a tidy manual. The auto is not my thing - but I'm sure someone who wants an auto will snap it up.

The arches look clean and the wheels are cool. They look like the official accessory wheels in the back of the 480 brochure.

Good luck with the sale.

Jay.

Nothing wrong with autos! Well matched to the engine, although they don't like driving at exactly 30 mph. Plus u can choose gears by going up and down the 'box. Good for controlling the car in bad weather although of course u can do this in a manual.

Any car is worth what someone will be pay for it, and nothing more. I have never bothered to read a price guide for years. For example in the same classic car mag I saw an E-type jag for 25k, and another one for 165k!! Madness.

I posted these up as part of my regular internet 480 watch (as real 480's in my area are all hiding in garages/gardens), plus I was surprised to see three white turbos on Fleabay at the same time. I like white 480's...but Parisian Blue I like more.

Mate, do yourself a favour...

Don't join a vehicle specific forum just to try and sell a car, which most of us know of already, then respond to criticism by having a go at the moderator! :kill:

That really is a VERY quick way of creating enemies, especially around here, as I don't think there's many on here who aren't thankful to Jim, whether in the form of advice, helping out with parts, or even keeping this forum alive.

Without him, there would be a fair amount less 480s left for us all to enjoy.

Oh, for the record, Jim's already said somewhere (either here or over on VOC) about his possession of these special wheels that apparently double the value of your car... Must get myself some!!

Enjoy your no doubt short stay!!

yes I had 2 sets , still have a few of these yet.

;)

Maybe I am just lucky (you have to be lucky in life at something ;) )

Have a pile of wheels lying at the side of the house. All odds and sods . Thats despite disposing of a few to the local civic amenity site as they just too odd or damaged .

Ask anyone who has dropped in to see me what the garage , shed and side of the house look like. :D :D :D

not boasting just a fact. No 480 owner goes away from my house empty handed and I still have too much stuff. :wall:

Wow Van, would you like to go into business together? In the Netherlands, is there any demand for lightly used Paris Blue turbo 480s right-hand drive...1 careful owner (plus 9 not-so-careful owners)?

Only joking matey. I will add your very nice and relaxed country to my list of expensive places for cars.

I picked the idiots ... they are just like spammers: if only one buys it, it pays off.

And nice and relaxed.. that's history.

well a guy is very very interested in the 480. came to look at it today. he was very very SHOCKED by how clean and well kept it is. sadly though ive let her go for 1000. was i just being too optimistic about these cars. dont get me wrong it was a gorgeous car and il probablly never own another like it and very sad to see it go. the guy has had volvos all his life. and lives local to me so will be nice to see it around. shmae i had to get rid due to lack of space though, TRUST ME if i had my own drive to keep it on id keep it, :cryhard:

Congrats on the sale, £1000 is a good price, its always sad to see a special car go. I still regret selling my nearly mint Paris Blue Turbo a few years back especially as it was untaxed within a couple of months :cryhard:
