Cheers Murf!
@Stu - There'll definitely be a meet of some description this weekend, and hopefully all will fall into place in the next couple of weeks, so get that GT polished - you know you're going to make a certain someone paint code 321 with jealousy!
Can someone who has Roo's number maybe give him a call and fill him in / check he can come?

Probably going to 'Fast and Modified' at Ingliston on Sunday, me too unfortunately , got to chauffeur my Brother-in-Law with broken leg in his XR3i, though had intended going anyway (if only to see what bling is in and whats not - NOT! ) Any body else going?donpaulo wrote:Saturday only for me, the fish ba's are calling
Pity, as would have been nice to meet other like-minded individuals (i.e. other idiots who knowingly buy a car that usually leaks, has electrical problems, and is getting more difficult to get parts for - especially if you are contemplating trying to tune an atmo engine) still ya gotta love the 480 dontcha.
Have a great weekend.
Kenny.
PS pic's and reports required for those of us that wont be able to go.
PPS just realised, I think the weekend of the 15th/16th is the start of the Glasgow Fair fortnight - half of Scotland go on holiday for this fortnight very busy time of year, just thought you should know.
Y reg mk1 XR2 - braw fun, now departed
H reg 480 ES Just Goes, now departed
M reg 480 2.0l S (Chassis No 592056) Even better, still going (for now)
Thinking about a turbo - it's all your fault, mind you, saw a black XR4i the other day...........

Here is a wildcard suggestion.
Seeing as time is cracking on and also some folks can't commit to a whole weekender. How about we meet up at Strathclyde Country park on Saturday 15th around lunchtime, at that same carpark as last time. Have a natter and a swatch at the motors, perchance some picinic snax, go for a spin. Then the hardcore can get weedgied later if they wish, even go for a Sunday spin if they can be arsed.
That's my 2 cents

Would be good to get something sorted as that old man times marchin on.
600 miles/8hour round trip is some drive unless we've def. got a drinking venue booked. Will there be battered haggis from the local chippie too? My fav memory of weekends in Edinburgh at supergrans!

OK, I think I might have to call off too. Unless anyone can tell me what's going on...

What's happened? We've hardly been home in the last 25 days and am just back from London and it looks like this meet is falling apart.
I kinda think we should cancel this - no-one has organised anything, and if we are gonna have a meet then I think we should do it properly, so that those who are travelling a long distance are catered for, everyone has somewhere to stay, and we have various options of good things to do,- like we did last August.
I've spoken to Ally about this and he agrees with me.
It's such a shame, because we've had alot of interest - suggesting a meet is all very well, but someone has to organise it. Ally and I have said that we couldn't do it because we were away alot at the mo. I feel really sorry if anyone has organised time off for this.
Let's focus on Lincoln and then we can organise a Scots meet another time.

Right then, Sally and I are in on that.
It'll be good to catch up and meet some of the newer members.
Just spoken to the Don and we're going to meet up in Morrison's car park on Ferry Road at 10am.
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dl ... 85&A=Y&Z=1
We can get some munchies / picnicky things and then head through en convoy to Strathclyde Park for mid-day.
If anyone else from the east fancies meeting up at Morrison's to join the convoy we'll see you there.

Would be good, but unfortunately I've got to take the bruv-in-law
(he ripped the achilles tendon of the bone 10 weeks ago and is still in plaster, so doesn't get out much) and his XR3i to Edinburgh on Sat for
Fast and Modified while my missus takes our car, the nephews and the tin tent over so we can stay Sat night (he needs to be in Ingliston by
9.00am on Sun morning, so to f**k with leaving Inveraray at 5.30am on Sun morn ). Hopefully next time.
Kenny.
