To badge or not to badge that is the question ?

rear hatch a badge of the engine type....B18ft which is a bit odd ?

Or if you want to be ambiguous...
I'm not lazy, its just that the adhesive used to stick the 'V' on my car is tougher than the glass its stuck too!! Anyhoo, with clusters like that I wouldn't want anything to divert attention away. Thhats how a 480 should look mate, thats art. Have you thought about laquering the rear wiper cover? Or losing it altogether?

Why won't God heal amputees?

Funny, i was just having this conversation with my Dad. I like the Volvo typeface of the badge and the model badge, but they are huge! It's a shame they didn't do badges in the later font like on the facelift 440 & 460's.
I didn't like it de-badged (as the first thing i done was whipped them off, hated people sitting on my arse expecting me to boot it all the time!), so i took the badge from the nosecone (removed that initially to clean between the letters, but it never made it's way back on ) and stuck that in place of the massive badge, and Groom kindly gave me a late style 'Turbo' badge from a facelifted 440. Not great pics, but you can see how they look:
No Turbo badge:
Both badges:
As it happens, there's a facelift badge on eBay atm, here. I think it looks nice personally. The silver does wear off though, so if you did get it, a couple of coats of clear lacquer wouldn't go amiss! Alternatively, i do have the original 480 Turbo badge still if you wanted it? And a clear LED with blue flash substitute for the red alarm LED...i know you like your mini modifications
White 480's do look very sexy...i do and don't like your diary thread Kev, it's making me slightly envious.... I don't miss cleaning her twice a week though....actually, i do!

Looks good kev, just out the factory look! imho, i think i prefer the smaller badges tho.
How about 'tinting' your centre brake light? Its very easy to do with a can of tinting spray and it could get rid of the only bit of red on the car?
