Bypass hatch microswitch

Post by blanki1981 » Mon Mar 11, 2013 6:56 pm

I've got a minor issue with my GT in that sometimes when it is locked up the rear hatch micro switch will trigger and set off the car alarm/horn even though the hatch itself is closed.

I was considering seeing if I could modify/remove the micro switch so that the car thinks the hatch is always closed and was wondering if anyone has done anything similar?

can't see why it CANT be bypassed and left in 'closed' mode or look for a new one ex RS / Farnell / Maplin?

Of course you can by pass the switch but it is far better to source a replacement part.

Think about it
