Re: Speedo and mileometer not working
Still not done it yet though, but it only goes off line in hot weather!! Does the speedo not need to working for the mot? How do you get past that? I think I'll get all new bulbs for the dash and then do it so I won't gave to do it again. Lol. Atb. Don't think they test the speedo on MOT: they don'...

Re: For sale. Turbo auto
Well, if I don't get an offer for this soon, I'll have to put it on e-bay, which would be a shame. I think it ought to stay with the enthusiasts.

Re: richmod
Hey guys and gals, I have recently bought an pruen box, and it drives, and the boos is there, but it runs like its on base ignition. So i took the box apart, and the ignition part was clipped out. Is this normal, or have i been fucked? In your last PM to me yesterday, you wrote "works really nice."...

Re: For sale. Turbo auto
OK, I said I wasn't going to do this, but I've added up what I've spent on this car in three years to keep it in good nick. It totals just over £2400.
Try me with an offer. I'd rather it went to someone here, rather than on e-bay.

For sale. Turbo auto
Final chance before this is scrapped. £450 With reluctance the time has come for me to part with this car which I've owned and loved for three years. I'm getting on in years and have given up driving for pleasure; I've even resigned from the High Performance Club. I've acquired an old Nissan Micra ...

Re: Speedo and mileometer not working
There's a good how-to somewhere on the site. It's not difficult, just a bit daunting the first time. I'd recommend wearing a thin glove on the hand you use to release the plugs; they can be very tight, there's not much length on the loom & there's lots of things to scratch yourself on. Get some prop...

You may find that your paint shop has what's needed to remove it.AcidicDavey wrote:Whatever it is I hate!
The stuff I got did no good whatsoever and tbh I think I might just get my paint shop to stick it back on when I get them to repair my sill.

Re: Speedo and mileometer not working
When this happened to me, a thump on the top of the dash above the speedo started it again. The actual cause was a poor connection in one of the plugs at the back of the dash, cured by removing the dash & squirting contact cleaner on the 2 plugs.

I'm considering returning my car to standard. If I do, my Richmod ECU will be for sale. Blue label; Bosch No. 0 277 400 216 I've had a lot of fun with this over a couple of years; it takes the boost gauge to just into the red. Offers by PM please: no point in offering less than £130. Postage, insur...
