@ Everyone interested, I finally got round to taking a photo of the drivers seat, which should give a good idea of the condition of the seats overall. The lumber support on the driver's seat doesn't work, but the passengers one does. Find the photos at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24102363@N00/sets...

FOR SALE - Black full leather seats

Anyone interested in a set of Black leather seats from an ES ? I bought some a while back, but no longer have a 480.

They're located in Norwich, in good condition.

Email for pix.

The problem is now sorted, Put some Castrol GTX 10-40 oil in and it's quiet like it used to be, well, quiet for a 480 :-)

Best route for Amp power cable?

Evening all, I'd like to put an amp in the boot of my 480, using quite a large power cable, just wanted to ask what the best route is? I've done it before through the rubber bit where the door cables run though, but there must be a better/tidier way?

Cheers,

I took my car to a bodyshop not so long ago for rear arch replacements. The guy there got some Fiesta arches! I wasn't sure at first but now it's all done you'd never know, apart from now there's no rust :)

Any chance of seeing some photos of how you fixed them onto the doorcard?

I'm planning to do something similar with my 480 soon, also, any ideas on how to modify the rear speaker points in an equally tidy way?

Cheers

Hey there, my '94 480GT in Red is off the road too, and I'm rust proofing underneath also, though I'm using Waxoil instead of underseal but it should be just as good. What I want to ask is, is it okay to treat the exhaust heat shield too? I see from your photos you have, and I've noticed mine is get...

My Aircon isn't running anymore either, the last 480 I had needed re-gassing, then it ran just fine after that might be worth getting it gasses up? My current car's been sitting for a while and the aircon's stopped working, so I'll be taking her to get gassed up when the weather gets a bit better :D...

Aha, but 3 wires? I got the sensor from Volvo, and it has 2 spade connectors on it.

I have a 480GT though.

Rustproofing the 480

Hey all, I wanna sure up my 1994 480 for a bit longer, where's the best place to start sealing up for rust?

A Chap the other day was telling me they rust from the inside out because they're double skinned, would it help if I pull out the bungs and spray all inside there with waxoyl?

Cheers,

Subwoofer power cable CSA?

Evening folks, I want to wire a Vibe 10" Sub into my boot, however at a later date I might want another amp in there too, was just wandering what sized power cables to use? I have sone 2.5mm twin and earth cable in the garage, would that do? If it's good for 24amps at 250v I figure it might do for a...

When you say on the Latch, do you mean inside the locks?

As a sidenote, the light on the drivers side keyhole is always on too, not sure what controls that.

Door Open switch

Evening all, My dash display is saying there's a door open, though they are all closed, also the courtessey light doesn't work when the drivers door is opened, so I'm guessing the switch/contact has failed, though on inspection I can't see where said device is If someone could point me in the right ...
