Uppland 2003

From June 27th till June 29th The German Volvo 480 IG (Internet Comminity) organised it's fourth Volvo 480 Treffen. This year the meeting has taken place in Bruchhausen in the Upland/Sauerland. All Volvo lovers (also those who don't drive a 480) were welcome to attend this meeting.

More than 30 cars joined the meeting over the weekend.

The weather was very bad on saturdaymorning and early afternoon. At the moment I left home (I overslept), the meeting started, when it was almost dry, with a litle game in front of the 'Gasthof' in Bruchhausen.

After that, the tour started and it started raining

But once in a while the rain stopped

I've joined the tour in the lunchbreak close to the Edersee on a grassfield under the cableway.

The tour continued through the countryside...

...to a place for a coffeebreak where al the cars were lined-up and some hoods opened...

In the evening we had a grill-diner in a 'Gasthof' and also some presents where given away. Next to the the 'Gasthof' was a 'Rodelbahn' which most of us tried (more than once!). This was fun.

On Sunday we gathered again at the 'Gasthof' and drove tot a glassfactory where we could see how glass-art is made. A very rare group A racer joined our group this morning

Here we sat for some time on a terrace in the sun. And talked, drinked and ate a little. Afterwards it was time to say goodbye and we left home again...

When I reached home, there were more then 900 kms on the clock and I could look back at a nice weekend in Germany.

Thanks to Carsten, Fantomaz and Wulf for their pictures. And off course thanks to Jürgen and Martina Voigt for organising the meeting and to all of us for being there.

See you all on the next meeting.
greetings, Bastiaan (Bep)
